Math Challenge 2023-2024General Information |
- Math Challenge is free and no-sign up is necessary.
- All students K to Grade 5 are invited to participate.
- There will be 15 challenges throughout the school year.
- Complete the minimum number of questions for your grade level. You do not need to answer them in order.
- Refer to the Schedule Calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available on this website.
How to Participate
1) GET the Challenge. You can access the challenge from this website by clicking the big blue button on the top right corner of this page. Print out the Math Challenge at home, staple the pages together and complete within the week. Please email mpmathclub@gmail.com if you need help with printing.
2) SOLVE as many problems as you can! You can skip around and solve problems in any order. Use a math notebook or scrap paper to work out solutions. Ask for help if you need it. We encourage you to discuss strategies with your family members or classmates.
Every grade-level has a recommended minimum number of problems to solve.
• Kindergarten and 1st Grade: Solve at least 3 problems.
• 2nd and 3rd Grade: Solve at least 7 problems.
• 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade: Solve at least 12 problems.
3) SUBMIT your answers by the due date. Place the completed Math Challenge papers in the designated Math Challenge Box next to office inside of front entrance by the due date listed. Every student that completes a challenge will have their name submitted into a draw to win a small prize.
Completion of minimum 12 Math Challenges will enable the student to receive a recognition certificate in June 2024. Any changes throughout the year will be posted.
