General Information
- Math Challenge is free and no-sign up is necessary.
- All students in Grades 3-8 at Cambridge Public Schools are invited to participate.
- There will be 15 challenges throughout the school year.
- Please refer to the Schedule Calendar for dates on when the challenges can be picked up and are due.
How to Participate
- To view the most current sheet click on the blue button above that says, “Current Math Challenge.” Pick up a sheet from Mrs. G or Mr. Sawyer and solve as many problems as you can. We encourage you to discuss strategies and solutions with your parents and siblings but you need to do the work.
- Solve as many problems as you can. To receive participation credit, students must solve the minimum number required for their level (see minimum requirements outlined on the Math Challenge). Don't worry about making mistakes! Mistakes can be learning opportunities for growth and deeper understanding.
- Submit your solutions by the end of school on the due date to Mrs. Gunderson or Mr. Sawyer. Late submissions will not be accepted for points.
- Students who complete at least 13 of the Math Challenges will be awarded for active participation.
- Students who complete all 15 Math Challenges will be given a special prize for their hard work.
