The Math Challenge Program is a free enrichment program open to all Cedarwood Elementary students.

General Information

  • Math Challenge is free and no-sign up is necessary.
  • All students from Grade K to Grade 5 are invited to participate.
  • There will be 15 bi-weekly sets of thoughtfully crafted math problems throughout the academic year.
  • Refer to the MC schedule calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available.

How to Participate ​

  1. Download/Open the pdf of the current Math Challenge available at button above.
  2. You can either submit solutions online or submit them in printed forms.
  3. Submit online: You can submit your math challenge packet online using the following google forms: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdaC7c8MJCjSR42ytg7N7zB8V-ut3Ej9hVjBgsagfkgh4AgzA/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=113829224030360278828
  4. Submit Printed Forms: Print the challenge and make sure to write your name, grade, teacher and parent’s email. Put it in the MathChallenge Dropbox kept in the front office.
  5. Refer to the MC schedule for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available.
  6. Students should complete a minimum number of questions for their grade level.
  •  K-1st grade at least 3 problems
  • 2nd-3rd grade at least 7 problems
  • 4th-5th grade at least 12 problems
We encourage students to discuss strategies and solutions with their parents and siblings.
Students who complete 12 or more challenges will receive an award at the end of the year.
