The Math Challenge Program is a free enrichment program open to all Cedarwood Elementary students.
General Information
- Math Challenge is free and no-sign up is necessary.
- All students from Grade K to Grade 5 are invited to participate.
- There will be 15 bi-weekly sets of thoughtfully crafted math problems throughout the academic year.
- Refer to the MC schedule calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available.
🧠 How to Participate
- Access the current challenge
• Use the BLACK button (CURRENT MATH CHALLENGE) to view the latest Math Challenge set or click this link: Current Math Challenge.
OPTIONAL: Register for email reminders when each challenge is released (and other updates during the school year) using this form. - Solve
• Solve as many problems as you can and ask for help if you need it. Please pay attention to the minimum number of questions required for your grade.
• Students are encouraged to discuss your strategies and solutions with your friends and family - Check solutions
• Once the solutions are posted, parents can help grade your child's work.
• Solutions will be released along with the next challenge. Students are encouraged to: review their work, learn different strategies, reflect on their approach.

• For each challenge, submit your results on or before due date using this google form - Link
NOTE: Please make sure to use the same name for each submission. The name is the primary way to track participation.
🏆 Recognition
- All students who participate will be recognized on our Math Challenge “Wall of Fame”.
- We also recognize the classroom with the most participation for each challenge.
- Students who submit at least 12 or more sets of completed challenges this school year will be recognized at the end of the school year with a certificate and a small prize!
