General Information

  • Math Challenge is free and no-sign up is necessary.
  • All students K to Grade 5 are invited to participate.
  • There will be 15 challenges for Elementary Academy students throughout the school year, starting with MC1 on Sep 12th.
  • Refer to the Schedule Calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available on this webpage.
  • This is a great opportunity for families to be involved and enjoy math through fun and engaging math problems! We encourage parents and siblings to get involved in discussing and solving them.

How to Participate

1. You can access each Challenge from this website by clicking the button at the top of the page. You can then choose to work on it by viewing it or printing it out. See Ms. Twyman or Ms. Ransby for copies if needed.
2.  SOLVE as many problems as you can! You can skip around and solve problems in any order. Ask for help if you need it.
Every grade level has a recommended minimum number of problems to solve.
  • Kindergarten and 1st Grade: Solve at least 3 problems.
  • 2nd and 3rd Grade: Solve at least 7 problems.
  • 4th and 5th Grade: Solve at least 12 problems.
3.  SUBMIT your answers! You can submit your answers on the Elementary Academy Math Challenge Google Form.

For each challenge, once you’ve completed the number of questions required for your grade-level:
  • Type your answers into the form.
  • Only type in answers for the problems you solved.
  •  Leave questions blank if you did not complete them.
4.  BE RECOGNIZED To add a bit of excitement, for each challenge, we will randomly select winners for special prizes and recognition.  Be sure to turn in your challenge on time because you might be one of the lucky winners!
