Math Challenge 2026-2027

Welcome to the Math Challenge Program (MCP) at Emmorton Elementary! Students can participate by solving biweekly math challenges and submitting their answers according to the instructions below. ​

• All students are invited to participate.
• There will be 15 challenges throughout the school year.
• Refer to the Schedule Calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available 

🧠 How to Participate

Posted in Math Classes in Canvas
1. Get the newest Challenge from Ms. Recor.
2. Independently solve the problems—clearly show your solution path and mathematical thinking.
3. Submit your completed Challenge to Ms. Recor or to the Math Challenge Collection Envelope right outside the classroom before the due date.
4. Check outside of Ms. Recor's room to see the top scorers and solutions. The solutions will be released along with the next challenge.

Can't figure out how to solve a problem?  Ask Ms. Recor during your math class, and she will help you learn how to solve it. 

​🏆 Recognition

The top student scorer in each grade level will receive a math medal. Any student who completes all the challenges will be invited to a special lunch bunch with Ms. Recor and will receive a certificate.
