General Information:

  • ​Math Challenge is free and no-sign up is necessary.
  • All students are invited to participate.
  • There will be 15 challenges throughout the school year. 
  • Refer to the Schedule Calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available on this webpage. 

How to Participate

  1. A printed copy of the Math Challenge will be sent home in the communication folder. A copy can be printed from the site if an extra copy is needed.
  2. Students will have about two weeks to complete the current Math Challenge and papers must be submitted on/before the due date. No late submissions will be accepted.
  3. Math Challenge papers can be turned into the student’s homeroom teacher.
  4. Students submitting the Math Challenge paper will be entered into a drawing to be done on the Friday after papers are due for prizes. Name and grade level must be on the paper in order to be entered into the drawing.
  5. Students who complete 12 out of the 15 Math Challenges will be eligible to participate in a schoolwide celebration in May!
  6. Students/parents must complete the required number of problems on each Math Challenge for his/her grade level. (See paper for how many problems each grade level must complete.)
  7. Parents and family members may and are encouraged to assist students with the problems in the Math Challenge. If help with strategies is needed you may visit mathinaction.org for tips.
  8. Look for the link to the Math Challenge on the Falcon Flyer. Happy solving!
