General Information
- The Math Challenge Program is designed to give elementary students opportunities to sharpen their mathematical and problem-solving skills, and to think about mathematics outside of the school setting.
- Math Challenge is free and no advance sign up is necessary!
- All FES students are invited to participate.
- There will be 15 challenges throughout the school year.
- Refer to the Schedule for dates when the challenges and their solutions will be available on this webpage.
- This is a great opportunity for families to be involved and enjoy math through fun and engaging math problems! We encourage parents and siblings to get involved in discussing and solving the problems.
How to Participate
- Download and print out the current Math Challenge.
- Solve as many problems as you can, but at a minimum, complete the required number of questions for your grade level.
- Submit your solutions to your teacher or the school office by the listed due date. No late submissions can be accepted.
- Participating students will be recognized each month!
- We will also give recognition at the end of the school year to all students who complete at least 12 sets of challenges.
How to submit
- Return your completed Math Challenge to your teacher or to Mrs. Grant’s mailbox in the main office by the due date. You are welcome to turn your work in early, but late submissions cannot be accepted.
