General Information
- Math Challenge is free and no-sign up is necessary.
- All Grades 1 and 2 students at Fuller Meadow are invited to participate.
- There will be 15 challenges published approximately every other week throughout the school year and each set will present 10-18 problems ordered by level of difficulty.
- Refer to the Schedule Calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available on this webpage.
How to Participate
- PRINT out the current Math Challenge at home by clicking on the blue button above, staple the pages together and complete within the scheduled dates listed below. (Ms. Clemenzi will also have copies available for students to pick up outside of the library.)
- SOLVE the minimum number of problems required for your grade. You can solve in any order and skip around. Solve as many problems as you can and ask for help if you need it. We encourage you to discuss your strategies and solutions with your parents and siblings. The Math Challenge is supposed to be fun! Productive struggle is good, but stop before that struggle turns to frustration.
- Submit your work:
Hard copy submission: Write your name, grade level, and your teacher’s name legibly on the first page of your completed math challenge work and then turn in your work in the Math Challenge Box outside of the library.
OR
Digital submission: Take a picture of the completed challenge and email it to [email protected]. Include your name, grade level, and your teacher’s name in your email.
- Completion of 8 or more Math Challenges will enable the student to receive a recognition certificate in June 2025.
