Math Challenge 2025-2026

The Math in Action program is completely free and requires no sign-up. All K–5 students are encouraged to participate!
How to Participate
- Challenges (15 total) will be posted according to the Math in Action calendar.
- Students can:
- Print the challenge at home, or ask their homeroom teacher for a copy.
- Solve as many questions as possible (check the minimum required per grade).
- Submit answers through the Google Form link posted on our PTA website, or ask the teacher for help accessing it.
- Google Forms will close automatically at the deadline listed on the calendar.
- Completed forms are auto-graded by PTA and entered for recognition.
Recognition & Prizes
- Each completed challenge earns students a chance at a prize drawing.
- Students who complete at least 10 challenges during the year will receive a brag tag.
- We are working on possible recognition for effort and achievement at the end-of-year awards ceremony.
- Fun prizes and treats are provided with PTA support.

- Strengthens critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Builds confidence in math beyond the classroom.
- Encourages perseverance and multiple strategies.
- Celebrates effort as well as accuracy.
Family Tips
- Make it a family activity — sit with your child and talk through problems.
- Remember: mistakes = learning! Effort is what matters.
- Ask your child to explain their thinking — in words, drawings, or numbers.
