General Information
- The Math Challenge Program is a FREE math enrichment program for ALL John Muir Elementary students, and no registration is necessary.
- There will be 15 sets of challenges published approximately every other week throughout the school year. Please refer to the calendar below for release and due dates of the challenges.
- Each set will present 10-18 problems ordered by level of difficulty.
- Rewards/Prizes: Students completing the minimum numbers of problems for their grade will be eligible for a prize per submission.
How to Participate
- Click on “CURRENT MATH CHALLENGE” and print out the current math challenge at home. Copies are available on the table outside the front office.
- Solve as many questions as you can. Please pay attention to the minimum number of questions required for your grade. Students are encouraged to ask for help if needed!
- Submit your completed work BEFORE the deadline! Students can choose ONE of the following ways to turn in their completed math challenge:
- Online Submission: Use this link to submit answers in an online form: John Muir Elementary PTSA - Math Challenge 2025-2026
- Hard Copy Submission: Leave your work in the designated box on the table in the lobby just outside the front office. Please remember to put your name, grade level, and your teacher’s name on it.
Join your fellow Mountain Lions in the Math Den on Wednesday mornings on dates scheduled below in the JME library from 7:45-8:30am to share challenge strategies, ask questions, and pick up your prize from the previous week.
