GENERAL INFORMATION

The Math Challenge Tournament® is an annual national mathematics tournament open to students in Grades 2–5. The 2027 tournament will be held in person at participating schools and educational centers across the country.
  • Tournament Window:  March 30 to April 10, 2027 (inclusive)
Hosts may select any date within the tournament window that works for their school or center.
Things to consider before registering as a host:
  • Set your tournament schedule: Determine the date(s) & time(s) of the tournament. A hosting school/center may offer multiple sessions to accommodate more students.
  • Reserve your space: Determine which space(s) you will use, such as classroom, library, common area, or gym, and consider how many students you can comfortably accommodate in each session.
  • Decide who may participate. You may host MCT exclusively for students from your own school or center, or you may open your event to students from neighboring schools.
Minimum registration requirement:
A hosting school/center must have at least 10 registered students by February 15, 2027, to remain an official host. If fewer than 10 students are registered by this date, students may be reassigned to another host center in the area.
