General Information
Welcome to the Lions Pride Math Challenge! All students in grades K-4 are invited to participate in the Math Challenge at Mount Lebanon. The program is FREE, and no sign-up is necessary!
The Math Challenge is an optional math enrichment program for students at Mount Lebanon Elementary School. It consists of a series of challenging and engaging math problems, providing an opportunity for families to enjoy doing math together.
The challenge encourages problem-solving strategies, such as drawing pictures or models, making organized lists, identifying patterns, working backward, using logical reasoning, and using the guess-and-check method. Each challenge includes 10 to 18 problems, arranged by difficulty level, allowing students from different grade levels to participate.
Students who participate in the challenge will become recognized members of the MATH PRIDE and earn small prizes for completing each challenge! More importantly, they will gain confidence in themselves as mathematicians and will have an opportunity to challenge their brains!
