Math Challenge 2026-2027

Welcome to the Math Challenge Program (MCP) at Palm Valley Elementary School! Students can participate by solving biweekly math challenges and submitting their answers according to the instructions below. ​

• All students are invited to participate.
• There will be 15 challenges throughout the school year.
• Refer to the Schedule Calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available 

👨‍👩‍👧 For Families:
​We encourage families to explore the challenges together. Discussing strategies and ideas is a great way to build problem-solving skills.

🧠 How to Participate

• Access the current challenge
  Use the link above (CURRENT MATH CHALLENGE) to print the latest Math Challenge set or pick one up from outside the T’Bird Math Lab, room 201.    
• Solve the problems
  Work independently or with family—show your thinking clearly. Pay attention to the minimum number of questions for your grade.  
• Turn in your paper
  Droop off your paper in the Math Challenge box outside the T'Bird Math Lab, room 201.  PLEASE REMEMBER TO WRITE YOUR NAME, GRADE and TEACHER.​
• Check solutions
  The solutions will be released along with the next challenge. You can look on line and we will also return them to you.

​🏆 Recognition

• ​For each challenge, students that meet requirements will go into a drawing for a prize.  5 names will be selected to choose a prize! 
• Students that submit at least 10 challenges will receive a certificate and medal at the end of the year!
