Math Challenge Program - Terms of Use Agreement

The Math Challenge Program is a free resource developed and provided by the team at Math in Action and Ellipsis Academy to encourage problem-solving and critical thinking in students across the U.S. and internationally. ​By registering for and using the Math Challenge Program materials, your institution agrees to the following terms of use:

1. Authorized Use

The Math Challenge Program is intended only for use by public and private elementary schools, as well as educational non-profit organizations, for the purpose of student enrichment during the school year. Use of the program by learning centers, academies, tutoring businesses, or any for-profit organization is subject to approval by the team at Math in Action and Ellipsis Academy.

2. Non-Commercial Use

All materials provided through the Math Challenge Program:
  • May not be sold, redistributed, or offered as part of a paid course, tutoring service, or commercial product.
  • May not be modified or repackaged for resale or branding under another organization.
This includes:
  • Posting materials publicly without attribution.
  • Removing or obscuring the Ellipsis Academy logo or credit lines.
  • Using the materials as promotional tools for paid services.

3. ​Branding and Attribution

All materials must retain the www.mathinaction.org and copyright statements. If sharing materials (e.g., via newsletters or school websites), attribution must be clearly visible: “Provided by www.mathinaction.org"

4. ​Distribution Limits

​Materials are to be distributed only to students and educators within the registered school. Sharing with other institutions, learning centers, or unauthorized third parties is not permitted.

5. ​Program Integrity

​We reserve the right to discontinue access to the program for any organization that does not comply with these terms or is found to misuse the materials in ways that compromise the intent of the program.

6. ​Contact for Special Requests

If your organization does not fall under a traditional school model but would like to participate, please contact us at [insert contact email] with:
  • A short description of your organization
  • How you plan to use the program
  • Acknowledgment that you understand and accept these terms

By registering for the Math Challenge Program, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the above Terms of Use.
