General Information:
- Math Challenge is free and no-sign up is necessary!
- Participation in the Math Challenges is completely optional for all interested students.
- All students in the Upper Elementary (Grades 3-5) are invited to participate.
- There will be 15 Math challenges provided throughout this school year.
- Each challenge is designed to give students opportunities to sharpen their mathematical problem-solving skills. This program addresses problem solving strategies such as draw a picture or model, make an organized list, look for a pattern, working backward, and guess and check.
- This is a great opportunity for families to be involved and enjoy math through fun and engaging math problems! We encourage parents and siblings to get involved in discussing and solving them.
🧠 How to Participate
- Access the current challenge
Use the link above (CURRENT MATH CHALLENGE) to view the latest Math Challenge set. New challenges are released every two weeks as per schedule below. - Solve the problems
Work independently or with family—show your thinking clearly. - Submit your answers
Drop off your solution in the Math Challenge box (near Ms. Taha's office) before the due date. - Check solutions
The solutions will be released along with the next challenge. Review your work, learn different strategies, reflect on your approach
🏆 Recognition
Students who submit at least 10 sets of completed challenges this school year will be recognized at the end of the school year with a certificate and a small prize!
