MATH CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT
​Information

General Information

  • The Math Challenge Program is a FREE math enrichment program for ALL Ben Franklin Elementary students, and no registration is necessary.
  • There will be 15 sets of challenges published approximately every other week throughout the school year. Please refer to the calendar below for release and due dates of the challenges. 
  • Each set will present 10-18 problems ordered by level of difficulty.
  • Rewards/Prizes: 
    We are planning on giving out prizes to those who completed 6 or more problem sets.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  1. Click on “CURRENT MATH CHALLENGE” and print out the current math challenge at home. Copies are available in the school library too. 
  2. Solve as many questions as you can. Please pay attention to the minimum number of questions required for your grade. Students are encouraged to ask for help if needed!
  3. Submit your completed work BEFORE the deadline! Students can choose ONE of the following ways to turn in their completed math challenge. 
  • Online Submission: See below to submit your work. (Recommended)
  • Hard Copy Submission: Leave your work in the file holder/box on the bulletin board in the library. Please don't forget to put your name, grade level, and your teacher’s name on it.​

Earn Fun Rewards!

Thanks to our PTA, we’re able to offer two levels of rewards for student participation:
 
Prize 1: Complete ANY 6 challenges (MC 1–MC 12) → earn a small prize
 
Prize 2: Complete ALL 15 challenges → earn a CERTIFICATE AND either a special prize or a math celebration party (TBD based on participation and budget)
 
Note: Parents are also encouraged to reward their kids at home, as our prize budget may be limited with high participation.
