General Information
All students in grades Kindergarten to grade 6 are invited to participate in the Math Challenge at CCJDS.
The program is completely FREE and no sign-up is necessary. This is a great opportunity for families to be involved and enjoy math through fun and engaging math problems. `

We encourage families to explore the challenges together. Discussing strategies and ideas is a great way to build problem-solving skills.

🧠 How to Participate
- Access the current challenge
Use the link above (CURRENT MATH CHALLENGE) to view the latest Math Challenge set. Hard copies of challenges will also be provided in class. New challenges are released every two weeks as per schedule below. - Solve the problems
Solve as many problems as you can. Work independently or with family—show your thinking clearly. Solve at least the minimum number of problems required for your grade.
Second & Third Grade: solve at least 7 problems.
Fourth & Fifth Grade: solve at least 12 problems.
- Submit your answers
Return your math challenge to your teacher before the due date and don't forget to write your NAME on your work. Please note- NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. - Check solutions
The solutions will be released along with the next challenge. Review your work, learn different strategies, reflect on your approach.
🏆 Recognition
Students who submit at least 10 sets of completed challenges this school year will be recognized at the end of the school year with a certificate and a small prize!
