How to Participate
- Students will receive a hard copy of the current math challenge from their math teacher on the “online” date. Students will work on the problems in class over two weeks. You may also choose to download some math challenges to work on with your students at home for practice.
- Solve as many problems as you can. We encourage you to discuss strategies and solutions with your peers or your parents and siblings.
- Submit your solutions to your math teacher by the due date.
- Prize winners are randomly selected from qualified submissions at the end of each challenge. An announcement will be made online following the due date.
We will keep track of your submissions and give recognition to students who at least complete 12 sets of challenges. There will also be prizes for students who completed the most correct problems in all of the challenges!
The program is completely free, and no sign-up is necessary. This is a great opportunity for students and families to be involved and enjoy math through fun and engaging math problems. We encourage parents and siblings to get involved in discussing and solving them. Schedules and problem-solving strategies are available at PROBLEM SOLVING STRATEGIES.
