Math Challenge 2026-2027

Welcome to the Math Challenge Program (MCP) at Legacy Traditional School Phoenix! Students can participate by solving biweekly math challenges and submitting their answers according to the instructions below. ​
  • All students are invited to participate.
  • There will be 15 challenges throughout the school year.
  • Refer to the Schedule Calendar for dates on when the challenges and their solutions will be available 
👨‍👩‍👧 For Families:
​We encourage families to explore the challenges together. Discussing strategies and ideas is a great way to build problem-solving skills.

🧠 How to Participate

  • Access the current challenge
    Use the link above (CURRENT MATH CHALLENGE) to view the latest Math Challenge set. New challenges are released every two weeks as per schedule below.
  • Solve the problems
    Work independently or with family—show your thinking clearly.
  • Submit your answers
    Turn in your solution papers to your homeroom teacher. Mrs. Busch will come by to collect the papers from homeroom teachers on the Thursday it is due at 2:30 p.m.
  • Check solutions
    The solutions will be released along with the next challenge. You should review your work, learn different strategies, reflect on your approach.

​🏆 Recognition

We will be having a quarterly celebration. Mrs. Busch will be collecting the math challenges and going through them. She will send out a participation rate weekly and at the end of the quarter the class with the best participation rate will get a class prize from spinning the wheel.
