Math Challenge 2024-2025 |
The program is completely free and no sign-up is necessary. All students Kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to participate in the Math Challenge program. The goal of this program is to promote student thinking about mathematics and problem solving.
How to Participate
Print out the math challenge at home or pick up a copy from Ms. McGinley or Mrs. Rainville at school.
Complete the minimum number of problems listed for your grade level on each challenge. Kindergarten and first grade students must answer at least two out of three problems correctly, second and third grade students must answer at least five out of seven problems correctly, and fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students must answer at least nine out of twelve problems correctly. Students will have the opportunity to correct answers and resubmit the challenge for full credit. The problems do not need to be completed in order.
Refer to the following calendar for dates when the challenges will be available and the due date for each challenge. Challenges will not be accepted after the due date.
Return the math challenge by the due date with your name, grade level, and home room teacher to Ms. McGinley (Grades 4-6) or Mrs. Rainville (Grades K-3).
Students who complete 12 or more challenges throughout the school year will receive an award at the end of the year.
