Math Challenge is a free math enrichment program for Rachel Carson Elementary students. There will be 15 Math Challenge packets published approximately every other week throughout the school year, and each set will present problems ordered by level of difficulty: easier to more difficult. Each challenge is designed to give students opportunities to sharpen their mathematical problem-solving skills.
How to Participate
- There will be 15 challenges throughout the school year. Refer to the calendar below for release dates, due dates, and challenge solutions.
- Solve as many problems as you can. In order to receive credit, students must solve the minimum number required for their grade (see minimum requirements outlined on the Math Challenge).
- This is a great opportunity for families to be involved and enjoy math through fun and engaging math problems! We encourage parents and siblings to get involved in discussing and solving them.
- You can submit your math challenge packet by the due date either by emailing scanned responses to [email protected] or students can submit packets to their teacher (don't forget your name!)
- Students that complete 10 or more packets will receive a certificate and a gift from the Carson PTSA.
