📘 How to Register Your School 

We’re excited that you’re interested in bringing the Math Challenge Program to your school. Registering is simple, free, and only takes a few minutes. Whether you're a teacher, parent, or school staff member, you can register on behalf of your school and help students engage in fun, meaningful math challenges. 
⏰ Register before September 20 to ensure your school is set up in time for the full 15-challenge program.
Returning schools need to register for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Please scroll down to click on the Registration button form.
  1. School Registration: A teacher, principal, or parent volunteer registers the school and serves as the school’s MCP Chairperson. The MCP Chairperson serves as the main contact for the Math Challenge Program and coordinates participation at the school, including sharing the program and challenges with students, families, and/or teachers, coordinating student submissions, and planning student recognition.
  2. School Page Setup: Each school receives a dedicated program page that serves as a central hub for: bi-weekly challenges, submission instructions, and participation guidelines.  Schools can adapt how they run the program based on their own structure.
  3. Challenge Participation: Students access challenges (Oct - May, every 2 weeks) and solve the challenges. They submit their responses by the due dates provided on the school page.
  4. ​Solution Access: Solutions are made available for students after submissions, allowing students to learn and reflect. Schools receive solutions before being published online for students to access.
  5. Recognition for participation:  Students who consistently participate and complete challenges can be recognized (for example, completing a certain number of challenges throughout the program). Many schools use this as a way to build a culture of problem solving and celebrate effort and persistence.
  6. Optional spring tournament: Schools may choose to join a Math Challenge Tournament® in the spring—an engaging event where students showcase their skills in a variety of math topics.

When registering, you’ll be asked to provide:
  • Your name and contact email
  • Your school name
  • School city and state
You may also want to think about:
  • Submission method (how and where students submit answers)
  • Challenge schedule (we provide a ready-to-use template)
👉 Don’t worry—these details can be finalized after registration. We’ll guide you through the setup.
The above information will be used to help set up your school’s MCP page and ensure students and families have clear, easy access to the program.​
​Note: Only one registration per school is needed each academic year.
🏫 New and Returning Schools
For new and returning schools, please register for 2026 - 2027 school year.
📅 Registration Timeline
  • Registration opens in mid-May.
  • Register anytime during the school year, but if you register by September 20, your students can enjoy all 15 Math Challenge sets (Oct to May).
  • Challenge Sets are released starting in October.
  • Registration for hosting the Math Challenge Tournament opens in mid-October.
📅 Program Schedule (for reference)
  • Challenges are released every other Friday
  • Each challenge remains open for two weeks
  • Suggested submissions are due the Thursday before the next release
  • Starting 2026-2027 academic year, the program runs continuously, with a pause in late December

🧭 What to Expect After Registration
  • Receive Your School Page: Within 1–3 business days, we’ll email you the link to your school’s unique MCP page. Returning school will have the same current link.
    • Review and send us any update for your school's page.
  • Share the Program: Share the school page link to families and teachers so students can access the challenge sets. You may announce through your school's newsletter, flyers, or direct email to parents.
  • Get Started: Students can begin solving challenges as soon as the first set is released on October 9, 2026! 
  • Stay Updated: You’ll receive email updates throughout the year, a day before new sets published as, and when solutions are available.
  • At the end of the program, you receive a Certificate template to use for honoring students' hard work.
