General Information
Dickinson/Explorer students: Sharpen your pencils, ready your brain, and get ready to practice some math skills! Math Challenge is here! Math Challenge is a FREE program that gives elementary students a chance to practice their mathematical problem-solving skills with fun and engaging problems. Throughout the challenges, the program covers problem solving strategies such as drawing a picture or model, making an organized list, looking for a pattern, working backward, and guessing and checking.
How to Participate
1) Access the current Math Challenge (blue button above).
2) Print out the current Math Challenge.
3) Solve as many problems as you can. We encourage you to discuss strategies and solutions with your parents and siblings.
4) Submit your solutions by the due date. Bring your solution to the front office by the due date or turn it in to your teacher.
We will keep track of your submissions. Students who complete at least 12 sets of challenges will be recognized at the end of the school year.
The program is completely free, and no sign-up is necessary. This is a great opportunity for students and families to enjoy math through fun and engaging math problems. We encourage parents and siblings to participate in discussing and solving them.
